Reasons for glass reactor crack

Glass reactor is a common reactor used in many industries such as laboratories, chemical plants, and medicine. Its excellent acid and alkali resistance is irreplaceable for reactors made of other materials. If you don't use it properly, it is easy to cause the kettle body to burst.

Reasons for glass reactor kettle crack and solutions:

1. Temperature difference

When some materials we use for reaction reach a certain temperature, a large amount of sharp exothermic heat will be generated during the reaction, and the generated heat will be too high, resulting in an excessively high temperature difference between the inside and the outside, causing the kettle body to burst. When we react these materials, we must first raise the temperature and add them slowly in batches.

2. Pressure

The main reason is that the positive and negative pressure generated by some heating and cooling equipment on the interlayer of the kettle body causes the kettle body to burst. The main reason for the pressure is that many heating and cooling equipment are not suitable for glass reactors. There are two reasons. One is that the pressure on the interlayer of the kettle body is generated during the operation cycle of the equipment, which exceeds the bearing capacity of the interlayer and causes a burst, the other is the defect of the equipment circulation system.

3. Frame strength

The support tube used is too thin. After a period of use, the tube will rust and become thinner. When the thickness of the frame is not enough to bear the weight of the kettle body, a sudden collapse will occur, resulting in the breakage of lab glass reactor. And a large number of aluminum alloy connectors are used, most of which are castings. Aluminum has pores during the casting process, which reduces the strength and causes fractures.
