About the glass material of glass reactor

Glass reactor is a general laboratory equipment and can be divided into jacketed glass reactor, single-layer glass reactor and triple-layer glass reactor. It is widely used in modern biopharmaceuticals, chemistry, chemical industry, new material synthesis, etc.

The kettle of the glass reactor is made of high borosilicate glass (GG-17 material), which has excellent physical and chemical properties. The kettle body is transparent and the reaction liquid can be seen. The main body is made of stainless steel frame and aluminum alloy, which is beautiful, strong and corrosion-resistant. PTFE mixing paddles include anchor type, paddle type, push type, etc., which can meet the mixing needs of different materials.

High borosilicate glass contains higher amounts of boron trioxide and silicon dioxide than ordinary glass, with a boron content of up to 14% and a silicon content of up to 80%. General flat glass contains more than 70% silicon, and boron is generally not added to ordinary glass.

2. Glass characteristics:

High borosilicate glass has low expansion coefficient, high softening point, and good resistance to rapid cooling and heating. Its expansion coefficient is between 32~33*10(-7), and ordinary glass reaches about 80~100*10(-7). The temperature resistance to rapid cooling and rapid heating is around 200~300℃.
