How to handle slow heating of jacketed glass reactor

The jacketed glass reactor can complete high temperature, low temperature and vacuum reaction experiments at the same time. It is simple and convenient to operate, and the reaction process is clear at a glance and convenient to control. It is an ideal equipment for modern chemical samples, petrochemicals, pilot tests, biopharmaceuticals and new material synthesis.

The double-layer glass reactor heats up too slowly in winter and takes too long. The larger the capacity, the slower the heating. The solutions are as follows:

1. Choose special insulation cotton to wrap the double-layer glass reactor to achieve insulation effect, which can effectively prevent excessive temperature loss and increase the heating speed.

2. Appropriately increase the set temperature of the high-temperature oil bath pot (high-temperature circulator) to allow the double-layer glass reactor to accept a higher temperature and shorten the heating time. When the double-layer glass reaction temperature is close to the use temperature, adjust the temperature of the high-temperature oil bath pot to the actual use temperature.

3. Do not fill the lab jacketed glass reactor with solution at one time, as this will affect the heating rate. You can choose to add liquid in batches, adding about half of the capacity. After the temperature rises to close to the set temperature, add materials to the reactor. According to the above method, adding liquid in batches can also effectively increase the  heating rate.
