Maximum operating temperature of glass reactor

Glass reactor is a kind of equipment that is widely used in chemical experiments, biopharmaceuticals and new material synthesis. Its design features include the ability to be used in a wide temperature range from high to low. As for the glass material, the high borosilicate glass material of the glass reactor can work in the temperature range from -120℃ to 350℃. So can the glass reactor only be used in this temperature range?

The temperature that a jacketed glass reactor can withstand cannot only be determined by the operating temperature of the glass, but also by the material of its accessories and the manufacturing process. Generally, a standard jacketed glass reactor is equipped with a corresponding high-temperature circulating oil bath and a low-temperature cooling liquid circulation system, and the long-term use temperature is about -80℃ to 200℃, and the short-term use temperature can be from -80℃ to 250℃. The main reason is that the material of some main accessories and seals of the glass reactor has a maximum tolerance temperature of 260℃. At temperatures below 200℃, its performance is very stable and not easily affected by the outside world, but the specific temperature resistance depends on its use conditions, such as use time, environmental atmosphere, etc. However, this temperature has also met a variety of experimental conditions.

The double-layer glass reactor is a commonly used equipment in laboratories. It realizes convenient high and low temperature control, rapid heating, cooling requirements during the experiment, modern laboratories, chemistry, pharmaceuticals and other requirements.
